About

Some about pages on some websites can be pretty narsicistic so I'll keep it brief for the sake of sanity.

I've worked professionally as a musician (amongst other things) in a variety of different genres, from pop and rock, through to alternative and modern jazz.

You know from my picture (left) that I have farily short hair and at work, recently, we were talking about how long our hair grows (there are a number of Sikhs there) and I said that mine would grow to shoulder length. So, I dug out an old photograph from the days when I let my hair grow as long as it would (around 1982), to show them. Here it is (click on the image to get a bigger picture if you really must :-o)

I live in Derby (UK) and in the mid to late 1980s, I was Derby's pavement artist. If you go into the local studues library, and look up my name (okay, I did this just out of morbid curiosity and was surprised that there was something there), you will see a cutting from the Derby Trader about me.

I work as a journalist, writing for PC Plus magazine, on the HelpDesk pages (and covering other stories occassionally).

I work on various computer projects (UNIX/Linux based) - see Project Pitcher Plant.

er ... that's it (or at least all that I'm going to say).
