Beat the fat and the sugar together until they
reach a creamy consistency and then work in the
almond essence. Finally mix in the golden syrup.
In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats,
brown sugar, flour baking powder and salt. Add
this to the fat mixture and mix. divide into
around 50 balls and flatten them, placing them on
a greased baking tray (use a Teflon sheet as this
works better - less prone to burning, easier to
get off and so on).
Bake for 10 minutes or so at 375 Fahrenheit
and turn out onto a cooling tray.
